Homages Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt able to express about his deep grief.

"Enough time has gone by that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began passing more hours together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the movie, adding that he could not remember "one day without laughter".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a distinct tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles judge decided to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the local authorities.

A court order issued a security hold on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of homicide, with a public database noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the deaths, public figures expressed varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering divisive statements that were broadly criticized by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the those speaking out last week. Talking on his show, Rogan described the remarks as "shocking" and remarked they demonstrated a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an adviser should have intervened when the impulse to comment on the passing was made.
