Striker Sesko will be absent from the Slovenian national team's forthcoming matches against Kosovo and Sweden due to a knee injury sustained during the recent game against Tottenham. Nonetheless, the club remains hopeful that he could be back soon enough to face the Everton side following the international break.

The attacker had to come off after 87 minutes of the Saturday 2-2 stalemate against Tottenham after being brought on in the 58th minute replacing teammate Mazraoui. Coach Ruben Amorim expressed concern post-match, leading to Sesko's withdrawal from the Slovenian national team.
