Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
