Mohamed Salah Extends Statement to Teammates, Says Curtis Jones
Jones has revealed that Mohamed Salah expressed regret to the group of players in the wake of the uproar from his recent interview.

The striker was dropped from a vital match after voicing frustrations and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I apologise.’”
Arne Slot has chosen not to disclose on whether he received a personal apology from the player.
Looking Ahead
Jones insisted that the squad's reaction remained positive. “He was the exact same Mo, his demeanour was positive and everybody was exactly the same with him,” the midfielder explained.
Jones also suggested that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. “I understand there are different methods you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s more of an issue.”
Positive Results
Liverpool's form have remained strong in the matches since the interview fallout. The player is convinced the forward's comments were not designed to harm the team.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a good place,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re uniting strongly, performing and securing victories.”
