This young athlete has substantial social media following

The young golfer can count on multiple well-known supporters as she starts her professional golf debut this Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, obtained a special exemption to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.

The former president, someone who loves golf, owns several golf courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she revealed.

The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Just don't get nervous."

"My grandpa practically told me to go out there and have fun," she continued.

"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, making him quite busy."

While still amateur, Kai has played in only three events recently and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA standings.

But she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He represents the best player in the world," the young golfer said.

"And he's a more impressive individual. He told me to play, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."

Kai will face some of most prominent players in women's golf at the Annika, featuring second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Officials commented that involving Kai helps introduce golf to new audiences, particularly reaching younger fans.

The young star boasts millions of followers and just introduced a personal fashion and living brand.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
