Two Individuals Accused In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Assault
Formal charges have been brought against two men following a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.
These accusations come after an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, police said.
A toddler was one of the people hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.
This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
